To be successful in a changing market, real estate agents need to be able to adapt to customer needs. Pinpoint Realty (PPR), an innovative brokerage firm, offers a range of services designed to allow agents to provide exactly what is needed for each client.
Renia Norris, broker-in-charge, said by charging agents a set fee for each transaction and service rather than a percentage of commission, the company allows agents to create a package tailored to each client’s unique situation.
“Our system gives them more options as independent contractors to do what’s required in a variety of circumstances,” she said. “They have the flexibility to work with customers or clients in any way they want.”
For customers, this means instead of paying the typical six to seven percent commission, they can pay for the services they need, staying as involved in their transaction as they wish.
“The Internet age makes real estate information and services more readily available,” Norris said. “At PPR we believe that the Realtor still plays an important role in the real estate transaction by providing professional products, services and advice. We are committed to educating consumers about local markets so that they are able to make the best decision supported by facts and statistics.”
By taking advantage of new technologies to better serve customers, PPR can provide marketing services to agents and consumers, as well as contract preparation and consultation programs to consumers and developers, all at a tremendous cost savings, Norris said.
“Now home owners and buyers can purchase just the services they want, in person, by phone, or online. This is an economical, efficient and effective way for home owners to sell their homes.” she said. “For agents, we can provide assistance with listing management, contract marketing, and creating a branding package. We the have the tools and resources necessary for agents need to be successful.”
Training sessions are available monthly led by Norris or qualified guest speakers.
“Each month we’ll study a different real estate-related topic, either live or via web-based classes,” Norris said.
PinPoint Realty provides advanced technological tools to help agents make the most of their business, including a transaction management system.
“This system keeps everyone involved in a transaction informed about what’s coming up so that everything is in place for the transaction to close,” she said.
Another tool, the Buyers and Sellers Educational Domain, is designed to provide up-to-date information on most homes 24 hours a day. By dialing a local number from any phone, buyers can inquire about any home in the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Callers enter the address or MLS number to hear information, in English or Spanish, and receive information via text. There is also an option of having an agent with PinPoint Realty contact them if they have further questions and/or want to view the home.
"This is a user-friendly system, and because it’s paperless, it’s eco-friendly," Norris said. “PPR agents are able to register their buyers for this system which provides them with stronger customer service and flexibility.”
Sellers can get this service in a monthly package which includes the listing added to MLS.
“This feature is great for “For Sale by Owner” sellers who want to monitor the drive-by shoppers who call in about their home. It can definitely help set safer appointments because their phone number will be captured,” Norris said. “Since it is the only system of its kind available in our area, it will help with researching trends and target markets.”
Buyers and investors can also register into the system individually if they do not have representation, or they can have their buyer’s agent register them as part of their service. (To learn more about the Buyers and Sellers Educational Domain call Renia Norris directly at 864-238-0110.)
Pinpoint Realty also offers relocation services. They can arrange destination and departure services including on-site real estate seminars, home sale assistance programs, mortgage assistance, metro area counseling, area orientation packages, temporary housing, inventory property management, household goods management, and rental brokerage services.
PinPoint Realty has a property management division that handles leasing and maintenance for commercial and residential properties, Norris said.
“For someone who has had trouble selling a property, we can help manage it and keep someone leasing the home or building until it is sold,” she said.
Norris said although there are currently a large number of homes on the market locally, there are also a lot of buyers looking for homes.
“Compared to other real estate markets, Greenville has been remarkably stable. Industrial growth keeps our market alive,” she said. “For those who are considering purchasing a home and wondering if they should wait, I would say there’s no reason to hesitate. This is the best time to buy.”
